Tantric Love-Making

red flowers roses rose

Discovering Tantric love-making — maybe. I have had no formal training in the meditative processes of tantra.

As a shaman perhaps, I was given a gift by spirit, which became our gift.

In 2008 when I was with my younger lover something wonderful happened:

Having made-love and we both climaxed one time we were resting in the intimate afterglow of loving intimacy. But I hadn’t withdrawn my penis from inside her. After a while it became erect again.

I noticed / felt my sexual energy rise up along her spine to her crown chakra and felt it come into me. The energy that had blended with her energy passed down my spine electrifying my body as it went into my genitals and passed back into her.

Her body shuddered. I felt it. She orgasmed.

I felt the energy rise within her and cycle even faster through her and then through me.

She gasped and shuddered with ecstasy.

Then again and again.

And again. I received the bouquet of her of her bliss and was showered with her epiphanies. My love grew deeper and richer for her. Her love grew around me as if it were a substance — like a rainbow light.

“I can’t take it” she stuttered and my whole body orgasmed.

I did not have a genital orgasm- my whole body, heart and mind were present as she too flowered into ecstasy one more time. Our spirits enveloped each other and we were one.

We lingered in bed. We were completely open to one another.

Some time later she said she was hungry. “Dinner at the Thai place?” I smiled at her. “Great.” We got dressed and walked into town.

I looked at her lovingly, our eyes met.

She shuddered.

“Stop doing that?”

“What?”

“I had another one.”

“I wasn’t doing anything, well except for feeling love for you.”

The Garden of Delights – 1975- 76

Garden of Delights breakfast and lunch restaurant 113 C Highland St. Worcester, MA

From 1975 to early 1976 I had one of the best part-time jobs of my life if you could even call it a job. It combined two of my favorite past-times: driving and having fun. It also revealed a few other tasks I excelled at – more on those later.

I began as a dishwasher in a lunch and dinner restaurant – the Garden of Delights on Highland Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Inside it was all black – black walls, black ceilings, interrupted by two tropical fish tanks, spider plants with their own grow lights and placards with single cell cartoons each with their own illuminated lights and a few maps and prints. This was the work of Tinker and Princess. They were the owners of the restaurant. It was obvious that Tinker had done the interior work / décor.

Tinker was dressed in all black with long black hair and custom-made shoes that curled up at the toes with tiny bells on them. He made them, of course, along with his black vest and its many pockets. He may have bought the wide-brimmed black hat. Princess was the chef. She created the specials that changed every week. It was a vegetarian restaurant except for the tuna of the very famous open-faced tuna melts on toast.

It was a special place at a special time.

Dish washing was not my most favorite task, actually it was my least favorite task. But everyone that worked there brought in a vinyl rock LP that was stacked about 15 records high on the spindle. We’d rock out all night long as we worked, worked, worked.

My good friend, Valerie who worked there, as a waitress, told me they were looking for a driver to pick-up food and supplies for the restaurant. Tinker and Princess did not own a car. My job was to pick up food for the week on one day and make bank deposits. I started in the spring of 1975. I drove my 1969 VW Bug which was mostly a good car for pick-up.

I went to Mitchell’s Bakery every Wednesday and shopped for the rest of the stuff on Thursdays to my recollection. At Mitchell’s I would buy 100 loaves of whole wheat bread and 50 pounds of fresh ground Mocha Java Coffee; I loved the aroma of all those coffee beans being ground into the bags. They would grind the beans as I loaded the bread in the bug. Next stop – Stop ‘n Shop for cans of White Albacore Tuna – it was the only brand of Tuna where dolphins were not attracted to the nets of the fishing boats.  On the other day I’d do everything else:

  • Off to the Greek Market for 2 to 3 pounds of Feta Cheese, jaw with the owner.
  • On the opposite side of town was a cheese wholesaler open to the public where I would buy Gouda and Muenster in large bars, no need for cutting. A woman customer remarked once: “You must have a big family?” “You have no idea,” I cracked.
  • Then to the bank for a deposit.

The cheese wholesaler stopped carrying 50-pound wheels of Aged Vermont Cheddar Cheese, so Princess or Tinker had to locate a different source. I was given an address down in the warehouse section of Worcester. I parked and started to walk towards the enormous building whose sign read: Boston Beef. I had to laugh. A Natural Foods restaurant that did not serve poultry or red meat was the address I was sent to. In my minds eye I could see Tinker and Princess laughing.

There was a buzzer at a side door. A guy with a hard-hat and a white blood-soaked coat arrived there. I gave him my name, the name of the business and the product I wanted. He had me wear a hard-hat. We walked through the place with beef hanging on hooks deep into the back of the building. He opened the door to a cold-storage locker and brought out a giant wheel of cheese. It was on account and I signed it and he gave me a receipt. Then I hiked out with him. He took the hat and away I went.

I’d go over their apartment a block away from the restaurant for food experiments that Princess would try out for the three of us – as vegetarian dinner specials. After dinner in the dining room amid the low slung and bean bags chairs surrounded by industrial sized wooden spools for tables and swing arms mounted on stands with an alligator clip at the end of each arm, four arms all together.  It was the lazy person’s way of smoking a joint. Well one of the three of us would have to get the joint and transfer it to the next clip, oh such work for “the slammed”.

Summer was great. But the winter of 75 – 76 with the snow storms and the sludge was a drag. On a Wednesday I did a small bit of driving in the city and then off to pick-up 80 gallons of organic Apple Cider and Juice in Sterling north of the city about 30 miles. It had started snowing during my morning run, it was light, but wet.

a 4-foot exact replica of Donald Duck made of solid sharp Vermont Cheddar Cheese with toothpicks holding the pieces together

When I arrived at the mill the parking lot up to the loading deck wasn’t plowed yet. I had stripped all superfluous stuff including two small sandbags from the trunk in order to fit all the cider in the Bug. There wasn’t enough weight in the from to get across the parking lot. Two guys around my age stood on the front bumpers and the drive over to the loading dock was one of ease.

It was an engineering feat getting those 80 gallons of glass bottles loaded with that sweet nectar into the car. There were 60 gallons of cider and 20 gallons of juice: 4 gallons to a box. I tried loading them with the backseat down, but it worked better with it up because I could get some boxes on the floor. Boxes in the passenger seat and one on the floor and two in the trunk with it tied down by some cord. I laughed.

Later, on a winter’s Wednesday morning I was taking a shortcut back to the G.O.D. from the bank. There had been two heavy snows earlier in the week and it was snowing lightly when I came into a very tiny traffic circle.  It was the exact same time a woman in a Mercedes entered from the right and I pumped the breaks to stop. It wasn’t enough. Our bumpers crunched. My bug was more damaged than hers. It was clearly my fault. We exchanged insurance information and phone numbers.

When I got back Princess and Tinker could see something had happened. It was around 10:30 am before the place opened. There was another guy there in a suit. I explained what had happened. Fortunately, my work for that day was done.

“What can we do,” they both asked. I didn’t know. The suit, Tom, had overheard me. He told me he had just graduated from Law School but hadn’t taken the Massachusetts Bar yet. He wondered if he could investigate the accident for me.

“Sure,” I said.

He had me draw a map of how I hit the car and the names of streets etc.

Later I negotiated with Princess and Tinker for one free meal a week, all the free coffee I could drink and to smoke pot with them in the basement after my run once in a while.

They both beamed:

“Yes. Good. Anytime,” they said.

A few weeks later Tom was waiting for me when I returned from my run. He told me that she was driving the wrong way down a one-way street, but hadn’t seen the signs: one was broken off by a plow and the other signs were covered by piles of snow.

In the meantime, I had used a heavy-duty rope to pull my bumper out. I called the woman on the phone and explained the new situation. She was beside herself. But since I had done my own “repairs” I told her there was no need for our insurance companies to get involved. Relieved and disappointed, she agreed and that was that.

Near St. Patrick’s Day ’76 Prink, Princess had shortened her name to match Tinker and they had become Prink and Tink, she had me drive her to a deli south of Clark University on Main. On the way there she told me her real name:

“And you have to promise never to tell anyone. Okay?”

“Yeah, sure. No problem.”

“And I’m thinking of going to the Culinary Institute of America in New York.”

“Oh God, the CIA,” and we both laughed.

By early spring of ’76 I had to stop working there due to faltering grades at Clark. I graduated in May of ‘76

Years later – in ’77 Tink found me and invited me and Val to their Thanksgiving Day Feast at the GOD for all employees past and current complete with a 40-pound turkey, stuffing, and all the fixings including a veggie alternative. And pies, pies, pies and a cheese cake, the same kind I used to get – the one that was so thick and sticky you had to cut it with waxed dental floss.

Tink made a 4-foot exact replica of Donald Duck made of solid sharp Vermont Cheddar Cheese with toothpicks holding the pieces together.

What a riot.

In 1986 the Gardens of Delights was gone… Nobody knew what happened. Prink and Tink had disappeared. Someone had said the owner of the building had raised the lease… but no one really knew.

The Karmic Full Moon in Libra

KarmicFullMoon
The Moon with appear full on Thursday 4/19 and Friday 4/19

Any planet at 29 degrees of any sign is karmic because it is represents the penultimate energy of that sign about to complete itself as it moves into the next sign. Most people constrict in fear and trembling when the word karma is mentioned. Most of us associate karma with payback in a negative way. While that may be true there are positive paybacks as well.

Lunar cycles are about emotions. A new moon begins the cycle with planting seeds (when gravity’s pull down into the earth is stronger – especially true when a new moon is in an earth sign – Taurus for spring and summer crops; Virgo for fall and winter crops in the Northern Hemisphere – reversed in the Southern Hemisphere). Planting emotional seeds under a new moon can be harvested during a full moon.

The Full Moon (March 3, 2019 – 9:43 pm EDT in Washington, DC) was at zero degrees Libra and represented the peak of singular relationship with oneself borne of innocence presenting lessons to yang lead relationships, service to a higher ideal, and revolutionary power struggles. Relationships to struggling to expand the battle between yin and yang.

The New Moon occurred on Friday April 5, 2019 at 4:50 am EDT in Washington, DC. the day of planting emotional seeds. This beginning was a time of paying back karma on every level from the patriarch into the new world.

The Full Moon at 29 degrees 07 minutes Libra on Friday April 19, 2019 at 7:12 am EDT in Washington, DC is about yin energy reaching fulfillment and balance in relationships. Its the Goddess energy receiving energy from the old order while being in service to a new way of being in the world. The Goddess energies in women (and men plus all other gendered and non-gendered peoples) are receiving intensely powerful and expansive energies. Emotionally we are being transformed by completion energies and repressed secrets coming to light for a compassionate revolution to occur.  Goddess energies are being fed by receiving debt owed from held secrets made public or held in abeyance.

The transformation energies are impossible to avoid. Embrace them and let them flow through you or their manifestation may be more difficult in the future.

The Light, the Dark and Earth “Below”

Happy Solstice

time lapse photo of stars on night

A possible way of looking at Solstices and Equinoxes as the function of a patriarchal separation of people from planet earth to a reorientation based on the sun and light.

life was under stewardship

taurus

In the matriarchal times the beginning of the Zodiac was Taurus, the sign denoting the womb with the Fallopian tubes on top and not the bull. At the equatorial zones and in the northern latitudes the seasons of planting began after the frost towards the end of April -the beginning of spring for earth. Worship of earth as womb and creator of life was honored and built into an agrarian based culture / civilization. Though women nurtured life and men were thought to be vessels of the Goddess of an earth based deity the culture was communally oriented, nothing was owned. All was shared with the group and life was under stewardship.

honoring the Goddess

It could also have been that the Southern Hemispheres were grounded in a culture where the beginning of the zodiac was Virgo, based on spring there. Jeffrey Wolf Green, astrologer suggests that when men began realizing they contributed sperm and were not just vessels used by the Goddess they rebelled and the patriarchy was born – in reaction. Men owned property, women and children. Male children passed on the ownership and legacy of men etc.

a hierarchy took root

The focus moved away from nurturing earth, honoring the Goddess into worship of a God in the heavens thus the solstices and equinoxes, seasons divided into four quarters by amounts of light. Agriculture continued under the increasingly greater control of men and eventually science (an extension of men) but the focus was shifted from Earth to Sky and a hierarchy took root.

a sky God that meshed with the patriarchal structure of leadership

Goddess as Earth was a bountiful civilization with a nurturing structure of stewardship that maintained a mostly horizontal structure with the exception of the dimishment of the importance of the male. In the European and Tigris-Euphrates Rivers of Turkey, Syria and Iraq the overthrow of the matriarchy though violence was easy, as Attila the Hun swept across Asia – conquering. The matriarchy wasn’t prepared for the sudden change. In the Americas the changes in the indigenous population was more gradual from matriarchy to patriarchy. The patriarchal tribes retained many of the matriarchal transitions before they were albeit destroyed by the Europeans.

pure Goddess / Matriarchy roots

The patriarchal God was a reactionary and vengeful God that came from above – a sky God that meshed with the patriarchal structure of leadership. This seemed to be a rageful reaction to the oppression by the matriarchy and the systemic misogyny based in the newer system. It wasn’t until the patriarchal God sent male saviors that retribution was supplanted by other forms of leadership though that appears to have been largely unsuccessful.

Wicca and Pagan celebrations though influenced by the patriarchy were still rooted in the matriarchy and may have tried to combine Solstice and Equinox traditions with pure Goddess / Matriarchy roots. The patriarchy sought to demonize them on many occasions, early Christians hid their celebrations by blending them with Pagan and Wicca celebrations and later demonized them via the Roman Catholic Church, for example.

Nevertheless, below in figures 1 through 4 are 3 representations of the upcoming Winter Solstice and one of the Summer Solstice:

WinterSolstice1n2

The gap between the patriarchy and the next epoch of which we are on the cusp is about a balancing and/or healing of the patriarchy with the matriarchy to help co-create an age of cooperative partnership.

Solstice3-4

Interpretations of each solstice chart will be coming very soon.

Rituals for Prosperity – Full Moon/New Moon

FullNewMoon

Full Moon – New Moon Manifestation Ritual

INTRODUCTION

If you’ve been working on a goal that doesn’t seem to be manifesting you may need this kind of help. Rituals are meant to augment what we are already doing on a practical level to fulfill our goals. This ritual by itself is not a magic bullet for success. It is here because it may help you that extra amount towards what you seek. Any ritual may or may not work and is not a guarantee for success.

Emotional receptivity is a precursor to a new way to manifest what we wish to happen. In the new world that began in 1992 (paradigm shift) – a world where every being is in relationship with all others, manifestation takes on a whole new meaning. The motto of this new way is: “Energy first, Manifestation second as aligned with Higher Self and Community at large.” That being said, working with the emotional receptivity of the lunar cycle is the next step. The Full Moon is a way to charge an object with its receiving power. When the papers are charged under the light of the Full Moon a way is made to give birth in the dark of the new moon.

Full Moons are always the opposite of the Sun sign. This ritual is most powerful when your Sun or Moon is in the sign of the current Full Moon or its opposite. Full Moons are doubled in power during a lunar eclipse.

However the following ritual can be beginning with any Full Moon.

THE RITUAL

WHAT TO DO WHEN THE MOON IS FULL:

Place a new, blank sheet of paper under the light of the Full Moon [outside, in a window, on your dashboard] you’ll be using on the next New Moon. If a Full Moon occurs at dawn for instance you can put your papers out the night before or the night after. Don’t worry if there’s cloud cover under the Full Moon – the luminosity of the Full Moon will still reach the paper. As in all things receptive it is not an exact science, more like an art. So you’ll need to experiment to see which works best for you. IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME WITH THE RITUAL – After having left the paper out at night bring it in and dry out if need be and put it in a safe place or on your altar. You will need to take it out in approximately two weeks at the New Moon. If you park your car outside at night you could put your paper on your dashboard for “catching moonlight”.

ON GOING – At each Full Moon after you have written your wishes on the last New Moon you need to sit and see which came to pass and which did not. If a wish did not come to pass – was that wish in alignment with your Highest Good? Does it need editing – re-writing? Or does it need to be put aside or discarded?

WHAT TO DO IF THE MOON IS NEW:

Take the blank sheet of paper that you put under the light of the Full Moon from and write down your wishes from 1 to 13. You may only have to wait until the next Full Moon if you align yourself with your wishes. Write the wishes during the night of the new moon (with 24 hours of the beginning of the New Moon) when birth of a new cycle is imminent.

Full Moon in December (2018) is on the 22nd at 9:49 am on Cancer zero degrees 49 minutes.

Women and Transformation: Venus in Retrograde -October 6 through November 16, 2018

taurusTaurus – The Womb — figure 1

Intro –     I subscribe to the Vedic (Eastern Astrological) interpretation of retrograding planets: the energy of the planet becomes more intense because it’s closer to Earth during retrograde than direct motion.

Since when to we point to an outside force as controlling our destiny?

What retrograde motion really means? —- A planet in retrograde “appears” to go backwards in relationship to Earth and the background of planets, stars and outer space. This is an optical illusion. When a retrograde motion occurs the planet moves into a close orbit with Earth. For more in retrograde motion visit this NASA page: https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap031216.html

Dangers in one-sided Western Astrology Thinking —– Western Astrologers reports that the energy of retrograding planets are turned inward and thus help create a scapegoating mindset. This sets up a victim-think stance during the retrograde period. Blame it on “Mercury Retrograde” for example rather than rise to and overcome challenges.

In the matriarchy Taurus was the beginning of the zodiac

Doesn’t using astrology as a tool help us to overcome crises? Since when to we point to an outside force as controlling our destiny?

Venus and the world beyond the patriarchy —– Venus as Goddess, Venus as relationship, Venus as personal energy, Venus representing women and the feminine in the world are some of the representations of the mythos of Venus.

Venus represents many things, the Goddess, love and relationship, art, drama, beauty and personal power to manifest, and to name a few…

The power of Venus and receptivity for example comes from inclusiveness

Venus is said to rule Taurus and Libra. In the matriarchy Taurus was the beginning of the zodiac, not Aries. Notice figure 1, the symbol for Taurus – not the Bull but the womb with the Fallopian tubes on top – symbol of manifestation and giving birth. The patriarchy usurped the feminine sign of Taurus for a masculine power of the Bull (one step in demonizing the matriarchy).

Astrologically Venus is usually relegated romantic love and relationships, art, beauty and all that is soft and receptive. It would seem that the fierce and unrelenting aspects of Venus as Goddess have been suppressed by the patriarchy much as Taurus, the womb of creation was usurped by a male symbol of the bull. Much of Venus in relationship to Taurus has been suppressed and perhaps denied. The power of Venus and receptivity for example comes from inclusiveness. Making and holding space while leading by example inside the space attracts others to the space or cause. This could be the democratization of the power of inclusivity behind a cause for example. This is not to exclude the role of Mars and the pointed energy of Mars or male energy in case and effect actions: “I see what I want and I take actions to get it.” Both kinds of actions are part of our world. However the Venus, by inclusion way of leading is downplayed and excluded thus denigrating receptive actions and women who could lead us to greatness by celebrating the power of inclusivity.

Ruling comes from the hierarchical structure of the patriarchy

Venus rules Taurus from a point of view of inclusivity would infer that a planet’s ruling a sign is less about ruling and more about co-creation. Ruling comes from the hierarchical structure of the patriarchy. When making and holding space for manifestation or creation both an attribute of Taurus as womb and Venus / Goddess containing the womb then there is a possibility of a paradigm shift. Partnership is the key. There is a partnership between the attributes of Venus and Taurus. When ruling is changed to partnering or co-creation the world of astrology and the world at large become bigger and hold the possibility of greater inclusion. Greater inclusion leads to prosperity for all.

the art of life

Venus is associated with art, beauty and form. In our search for meaning, happiness and success we become artists, creators of our immediate reality to some degree. The structures of language and civilization lead to art forms, stories that have a beginning middle and end, followed by a new beginning. These forms or stories are art and containers where we hold space for our lives to have meaning as in phrases such as “the body of work” etc. Venus as art when joined in a partnership with Taurus becomes a womb or cauldron for creation and this is the art of life.

In traditional Western Astrology the natural sign of the second house is Taurus that co-creates with Venus to exude values, personal energy and personal money. When the second house is looked at from a non-patriarchal or partnership perspective it becomes the space or womb of creation for our values, energy and money in the context of others.

Out of the mystical transformations of re-birth (Scorpio) comes the harmony of partnership

When working with receptivity on a practical level we may create a space that is imagine a space, a box, a living room a place that can hold people, ideas, purpose and objects that can be used to symbolize a goal. Remember to imagine putting yourself in the space. “See” someone next to you in the imaged space you’ve created that you can assist and they can assist you with your goal and then extrapolate others that are helping you and that you are help achieve your goal. And you can just wait and sit around waiting for this to all fall into place you must also do some yang / male/ Mars work of cause and effect – making things happen.

Venus Retrograde and The US Midterm Elections —– The force of Venus as Goddess in Scorpio especially during the upcoming retrograde period of October 6 through 31, 2018; then Venus continues retrograding in Libra from November 1 until November 16 well past the American elections in the closer races [11-16-18 at 2:51 am PST or 11-15-18 11:51 pm EST]. Scorpio represents both the mysteries of transformation from the murky depths of water to the Phoenix Bird consuming itself in fire to die in order to create something new. Out of the mystical transformations of re-birth (Scorpio) comes the harmony of partnership and balance (Libra) of both women voting (and men too supporting women and rebirth through voting) and winning office seats at all levels of government on November 6th as one example of this retrograde Venus time.

solidarity of sisterhood everywhere

As Venus retrogrades from the last of Scorpio (October 31st) into the last degree of Libra on November 1st until Venus goes direct on Friday November 16 2018 at 10:52 UT or 2:52 am PST (or Friday November 16th at 10:52 UT 5:52 am). [Coincidentally Mercury goes retrograde on Friday November 16th in the 5:33 pm PST or 8:33 pm EST.]

Venus after her intense ride through transformational Scorpio settles into a partnership of solidarity of sisterhood everywhere and in the context of the US midterm elections a wave of women voters to heal the patriarchy old guard by voting them out of office. On Election Day at sunrise in Washington DC it’s karmic payback time (Moon in Scorpio at 29 degrees – energy blended with retrograding Venus) as we’re poised between the past and future (south node – Aquarius –north node Leo square Moon and Venus) for a big upset in close races and a wave of women in a progressive blue wave (Uranus at zero degrees Taurus retrograde opposite Moon and Uranus and poised between past and future -. A Native American Ritual for Bringing Rain

country-lane-field-meadow-rain

this ritual was passed on from Gregg Braden and his Native American friend.

This ritual uses multiple sensory modalities as part of a visualization tool to bring rain. Of course it can be modified to whatever you are working towards.

Remember that we are beings of Earth, our sacred home.

For any manifestation to occur a 3 bodied action to bring rain.

1. Feeling from the heart

2. Feeling from the body

3. Visualizing from the mind.

What you will need:

  • Water enough to wet dry dusty earth and parts of your skin/body (a bucket, canteen, bottles of water).
  • Bare feet (or stripped down to a shirt and underwear)
  • A towel (optional)

What to do:

  • Find a spot where the dirt is dusty enough to make mud
  • Sanctify the spot in the following ways. Burning white sage (if safe – no wind), humble yourself and bring in purity or setting up a crystalline grid.
  • Take off your shoes and socks
  • Pour water on the spot and make mud.
  • Put your bare feet in the mud.
  • Sprinkle or pour water over your feet
  • If you wish to manifest more rain pour water over your legs too
  • Even more water strip down to a shirt and underwear or over your clothes (isn’t this how we soaked in the rain in our clothing?) and pour water over your body.

The Next Waking Dream Flow of Manifestation

Feel how the water has made mud against your feet and the waters on your body. See a low front/ rain clouds having arrived overhead in the place where you and Earth thirst for rain. Feel with your heart the relief and all the other joyous emotions that rain brings in you See the rain falling and making mud and quenching the thirst of Earth. Feel the sacredness of rain.

Thank Earth for producing the rain (present tense). Bow to the four directions giving thanks and offering a gift of love to earth and water. Remove the crystals, re-sage the area, or with your full body, mind and heart humbly thank earth and rain.

Walk back to your vehicle or house and use towel.

The Luckiest of Days: Friday the 13th

as11-44-6667

Sacred Day: Friday April 13, 2018 at 13:13:13 GMT

History

The patriarch authority in the form of Christian monks demonized all Goddess worship in order to suppress and replace pagan rituals.

Friday or the Goddess Freya was called unlucky by the Christian authority because it was a day of the sacred female divinity. Friday the 13th was made to be unlucky because it was associated with the 13th month of the year in the Menstrual Calendar. [1]

In many religions Friday was (is) considered the 7th day of the week and is the most sacred day.

Fish was eaten on Fridays as a fertility right, which was later absorbed into a Christian ritual. [1]

The Church in Europe used the Julian calendar. Peasants used the Menstrual or Goddess-Given calendar. The Lunar calendar was 13 months of 28 days each, each week being 7 days. (13×28=364 plus 1) – was the Menstrual Calendar that conformed to the cycles or phases of the moon namely:

  • New
  • Waxing
  • Full
  • Waning

The Moon cycles correspond with a woman’s menstrual cycle thus the Menstrual Calendar. [2]

Chinese women established a lunar calendar about 3,000 years ago dividing the stellar sky into 28 “mansions” that the moon transversed. The Great Mayan calendar had first been based on “her menstrual cycles”. The word “mensis” is Latin for month, Greek, Middle English and High German – moon. [2]

No one knows – as in a documented sense where this suppression and demonization of woman / the Goddess arises. Astrologer Jeffery Wolf Green writes about the end of the matriarchy and beginnings of the patriarchy in his astrology books. The male rebellion against the Goddess appeared to contain the seeds of the hatred and repudiation of the feminine within a patriarchal dominated culture.

Green states (am I am summarizing and paraphrasing) that women believed that spirit – the divine worked through men to delivery the seed for children to come into the womb of women. Men were superfluous vessels for the seed to be carried. The seed or sperm did not originate with men it originated in the divine feminine and men were hollow vessels in service to the Goddess. The matriarchy raised children in a group setting, there was no family with a man as the leader. All property was held communally. There was no need for weapons of war, no armies, no defense against invaders because everyone lived this way for a few thousand years. [3]

Green states that men became increasingly angry over time and began to over throw female leadership in a violent acting-out manner of raping, pillaging and murder on a massive scale. [3]

What evolved out of that was the family. The man was the leader and the owner of woman and children. I would be remiss if I didn’t write about the legacy of anger that each man holds over women, other men and children as well as dominion over “the earth”.

Some men continue to act-out this anger in the context of the patriarchal system without any self-awareness. Other men have or are continuing to struggle to examine the legacy of anger and the anger within themselves to find a cause for it and work on resolving it responsibly as it arises.

Until more men can and do step forward individually and as a group to own the accountability and responsibility for crimes against the other outside their gender then the legacy of anger will continue. This hard-wiring of anger is oppositional to all the principles of the matriarchy and the divine-feminine.

  • The matriarchy held all life as sacred with horizontal leadership
  • The matriarchy held all property communally.
  • The matriarchy treats property with equal rights and equal access.
  • The matriarchy held earth as a sacred being of the divine

  • The patriarchy holds the yang principle as supreme with hierarchical leadership.
  • The patriarchy holds only the elite or upper class as property owners.
  • The patriarchy is entitled to subjugate and enslave lower classes as property
  • The patriarchy in its rebellion against the matriarchy treats earth as an object to be used and consumed in a hierarchical matrix
